Rab Scott is Head of Digital at the University of Sheffield’s Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre (AMRC). He has been a member of the AMRC since its beginning in 2001 and now leads on the strategic development and implementation of digital technologies and solutions for the AMRC and the wider manufacturing sector.

He is a visiting Professor at the University of Strathclyde in the Department of Manufacturing and Engineering Management and an Honorary Research Fellow at the University of Exeter Business School.

Rab is the operational chair of the High Value Manufacturing Catapult Digital Strategy Team. He is Deputy Chair of the Advisory Board of ImmerseUK (the UK’s body for immersive technologies), sits on the IET’s Digital Panel and their Applied Visualisation Forum and the UK5G Manufacturing working group. He is also a member for the BSI IST/31 Standards committee for “Computer graphics, image processing and environmental data representation”.
