Zeina Nazer (British/Lebanese) is Co-Founder of Cities Forum and Researcher at University of Southampton. Zeina has over 20 years’ of global experience in strategy, consulting, research, and platform development at firms including KPMG, Parsons and AECOM. Zeina led Advisory services for governments and major global players in Intelligent Mobility, Smart Cities, Sustainable Infrastructure, and the public sector in the Middle East, Europe, Southeast Asia and the USA.
After 7 years working in the USA with KPMG, Parsons, and AECOM, Zeina moved to London to support international projects including leading international consultancy work with Arcadis for M25 Design-Build Integral Demand Management. Zeina also provided support to financial design of the New Zealand Toll System project with Deloitte, supported Booz & Co in the PMO for Abu Dhabi DOT and supported in shaping the future of transport for Dubai Government.
Zeina has a BSc in Civil Engineering from American University of Beirut, MSc in Transportation Engineering from University of Texas at Austin, MBA from the University of Chicago. She is a Professional Engineer licensed in the USA. Zeina is currently pursuing her PhD on LiDAR applications for Smart Cities at the University of Southampton.
Zeina was the chair of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) Technical Working Group TC204 WG1 on ITS Systems Architecture and served as Director on the Board of Women in Transportation (WTS) in the USA.
A keynote speaker, author and presenter of over 100 papers submitted to magazines and conferences around the world.

Brian has been with Milton Keynes Council since 1997, previously working for Buckinghamshire and Northamptonshire County Councils.
Brian has taken up the role of leading on the development and delivery of the council’s programme of Transport Innovation, supporting Milton Keynes growth as a leading Smart City. This builds on Brian’s experience of managing the delivery of MK’s Electric Bus Project (UKs first fully electric bus service using inductive charging) and leading on the council’s Go Ultra Low cities programme – designed to increase the number of electric vehicles in Milton Keynes. The programme now includes delivering a fully electric on- demand shuttle bus service, working in partnership with Via Van.
Current activities are centred around developing 5G capability to support the city manage its growing demand for services. The use cases being trialled will look at using of city scale sensor deployment linked to a 5G enabled data hub which can provide real time data feeds to support efficient sustainable mobility, energy management and access to health care

Strategy and Partnerships Manager, Smart Cambridge Programme
Dan is the Strategy and Partnerships manager for the Smart Cambridge programme, set up to explore how data and emerging technology can help address the challenges that Cambridge and the wider county face such as congestion, poor air quality, infrastructure constraints and the creation of better places. Funded by the Greater Cambridge Partnership the programme has trialled new sensors technologies, networks such as Lora/Sigfox and now 5G, built data infrastructure and tools to primarily support a move to sustainable modes of transport.
Dan has led on the development of autonomous vehicle pilot which launches shortly in the city. The programme recently received funding from the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Combined Authority to expand the work started in Cambridge out into the market towns across Cambridgeshire. The programme is highly collaborative and has worked extensively with the University of Cambridge, local businesses and local communities.

He spent almost 15 years at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) in a variety of technology-related roles including leading technology innovation by delivering specific expertise in emerging technologies and the impact of macro trends such as demography on organizational success. In 2017, he was named one of the top 100 CIOs in the world and in 2016 he was named one of the top 20 most influential CIO’s in the United States. Dr. Reichental is also recognized as a global thought leader on a number of emerging trends including urban innovation and blockchain technology.
He is currently the CEO of Human Future, a global business and technology consultancy, advisory, and education firm. He is formerly a multiple award-winning Chief Information Officer (CIO) for the City of Palo Alto, focusing on modernizing the technology environment, implementing enhancements to the citywide SAP implementation, and pushing the boundaries of innovation in local government such as open data and broader civic participation through mobile devices. Under Jonathan’s leadership, Palo Alto has been named one of the top 5 digital cities in America four years in a row, including the top spot in 2013.
Prior to joining the City, Jonathan served as CIO of O’Reilly Media, an integrated media company. During his tenure he led the successful technology effort to deploy a new global ecommerce platform, enhanced the Oracle financial system, completed and maintained PCI-compliance, implemented an IT governance process, and made several strategic upgrades to the network infrastructure.
Jonathan was awarded the distinction of being one of the 25 Doers, Dreamers, and Drivers in Government in America in 2013. He also won a best CIO in Silicon Valley award and a national IT leadership prize. He has also recently been named the top social government CIO on Twitter and his blog was named one of the top 50 must-read in government.
Dr. Reichental holds several degrees including a Ph.D. in Information Systems. He informally advises several technology start-ups and is engaged in a variety of charity efforts in Silicon Valley. Jonathan is a co-founder of Code for Ireland. He is also an adjunct professor in the School of Management at the University of San Francisco, and several other universities across the United States.
Jonathan is also a highly sought-after public speaker and presents on a range of subjects which has included a TEDx presentation on the future of privacy. He is a popular writer and online host, producing several highly successful online courses with LinkedIn Learning.
His work has been featured on international television, and radio, and in magazines, newspapers, and online publications, that include CNN, BBC, NBC, CBS, NPR, Forbes, Wall Street Journal, Irish Times, CIO magazine, InformationWeek, Government Technology, Mashable, and many others.
He is a popular blogger, and recently co-authoring The Apps Challenge Playbook. He co-hosts the popular podcast, Drinking Wine Talking Tech. His current book, Smart Cities for Dummies, is available in most bookstores and online.

Zeina Nazer (British/Lebanese) is Co-Founder of Cities Forum and Researcher at University of Southampton. Zeina has over 20 years’ of global experience in strategy, consulting, research, and platform development at firms including KPMG, Parsons and AECOM. Zeina led Advisory services for governments and major global players in Intelligent Mobility, Smart Cities, Sustainable Infrastructure, and the public sector in the Middle East, Europe, Southeast Asia and the USA.
After 7 years working in the USA with KPMG, Parsons, and AECOM, Zeina moved to London to support international projects including leading international consultancy work with Arcadis for M25 Design-Build Integral Demand Management. Zeina also provided support to financial design of the New Zealand Toll System project with Deloitte, supported Booz & Co in the PMO for Abu Dhabi DOT and supported in shaping the future of transport for Dubai Government.
Zeina has a BSc in Civil Engineering from American University of Beirut, MSc in Transportation Engineering from University of Texas at Austin, MBA from the University of Chicago. She is a Professional Engineer licensed in the USA. Zeina is currently pursuing her PhD on LiDAR applications for Smart Cities at the University of Southampton.
Zeina was the chair of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) Technical Working Group TC204 WG1 on ITS Systems Architecture and served as Director on the Board of Women in Transportation (WTS) in the USA.
