Dr Lingjian Li received his PhD in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from the University of Bristol in 2014. His research centered on developing high power efficient antenna systems for “Green” wireless communication networks. He has wide-ranging expertise including wireless communications, IOT sensors and data science, and he has rich experience in applying innovations for real life operations and delivering tangible benefits throughout his career in Telecommunication, Infrastructure to Local Government sectors.
He currently leads the Smart Infrastructure Team within the iHUB at Oxfordshire County Council. The iHUB links the council with the innovation community, aiming to drive a smart and sustainable Oxfordshire through the integration of disruptive technologies. Lingjian is managing a portfolio of projects around emerging technologies underpinning a Smart City’s digital infrastructure, such as AI and Quantum technologies, trialling their implications to the service areas of a local authority including roads, public health and climate actions.
